Verrado 5-Acre Topographic Mapping Project
This dataset was captured using RTK-enabled drone mapping over a 5-acre site in the Verrado area of Buckeye, Arizona. The processed data delivers a true-to-scale terrain model with 1-foot contours, supporting accurate topographic analysis and design workflows.
Project Overview
AeroViews was commissioned to perform aerial mapping and generate a high-accuracy topographic dataset for a 5-acre site in the West Valley of Phoenix, Arizona, near the Verrado community. The project supported trail design and site planning for a former vineyard with primarily bare-earth terrain.
Using drone-based data acquisition with RTK-enabled GNSS positioning, our team captured high-resolution imagery across the project boundary. The site conditions—minimal vegetation and open terrain—allowed for clean surface modeling and precise elevation extraction.
The collected data was processed into a detailed terrain model and used to generate 1-foot contour lines, providing the client with a design-ready dataset aligned to the project coordinate system. All deliverables were formatted for direct use in CAD and planning workflows.
The result is a highly accurate digital environment that supports design validation, stakeholder presentations, and more informed decision-making for hillside development projects.

Results & Impact
The final dataset provided the client with an accurate representation of the site’s topography, enabling efficient planning and design of trail layouts within the property near Verrado.
By delivering 1-foot contours and a clean bare-earth model, the project eliminated the need for extensive manual field measurements while giving the design team a reliable foundation for grading, layout, and site analysis.
